The LBS group is a network of German Building Society, doing business within the German savings group. This network manages more than 11 million contracts, while the total of bauspar loans is up to roughly 15 billion Euros. Bausparen is a housing finance system with a long tradition. It is based on the idea of mutual help in acquiring one’s own home – therefore it even works in countries without or with only slightly developed capital markets.
